Cloud infrastructure specialist Crusoe announced a fresh funding round that brought in $3.9 billion, pushing its enterprise valuation to $30.9 billion. The capital injection positions the company among the most valuable players in the data‑center and AI‑infrastructure market.
The money will be allocated to two complementary growth tracks. First, Crusoe will roll out a series of hyper‑scale data centers across North America, Europe and the Asia‑Pacific region. These facilities are engineered for ultra‑low power consumption, leveraging renewable energy sources and advanced cooling techniques to keep operating costs and carbon footprints to a minimum.
Second, the firm will mass‑produce what it calls “AI factories”—compact, modular units that can be shipped and installed on‑premise. Designed for high‑performance model training and inference, the factories enable enterprises to keep sensitive data in‑house while avoiding the latency penalties of remote cloud processing. The company aims to have 50 such units in production by the end of 2027, targeting sectors such as finance, healthcare, and autonomous vehicles.
CEO Maya Patel said, “Our investors recognize the urgent need for sustainable, scalable compute power. While our massive data hubs will serve global workloads with maximum efficiency, the modular AI factories give customers the flexibility to run AI workloads locally, where security and speed matter most.”
Strategic investors, including leading venture‑capital firms and industry partners, have backed the round, providing both financial muscle and market access. Crusoe plans to complete construction of its first wave of mega‑centers by mid‑2025, followed by a rapid rollout of the modular factories.
With this dual‑track strategy, Crusoe is not only expanding raw compute capacity but also redefining how AI infrastructure is delivered. The company expects the combined approach to accelerate its ascent to a leadership position at the intersection of cloud services and artificial‑intelligence execution.
