Cyber‑security firm Cyera announced on Thursday that it will acquire AI‑focused security startup Oasis Security for $1 billion in cash. The transaction marks Cyera’s third major purchase of the year and underscores the company’s ambition to build a comprehensive defence stack for the exploding number of autonomous AI agents that are being deployed across enterprises.
Oasis Security has built a reputation on real‑time monitoring and threat‑detection solutions specifically designed for distributed machine‑learning models and autonomous agents. Its platform can spot hidden malicious code, data exfiltration attempts, and model‑poisoning attacks the moment they appear, delivering alerts and automated mitigation steps. By integrating this technology into Cyera’s existing cloud‑native security framework, the combined entity aims to protect AI agents throughout their entire lifecycle—from design and training to deployment and continuous updates.
